Toyota RAV4: Maintenance and care - Positioning a floor jack
Before using a floor jack, read and follow all instructions supplied with the jack. Perform the lifting procedure on a firm, level surface and observe the specified safety precautions throughout the operation.
When raising the Toyota RAV4 with a floor jack, place the lifting pad directly beneath the correct jack point shown below.
Incorrect jack placement can damage the vehicle, allow it to shift or fall, and cause serious personal injury. Never position the jack beneath an area that is not identified as a suitable lifting point.
